A graduate of Wake Forest University, Joe Millsaps, J.D., is a member of the Mecklenburg County and North Carolina Bar Associations, the North Carolina State Bar, formerly member of both the American Association for Justice and the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers.
He began practicing in Charlotte in 1961, where he practiced with small firms over the first 28 years of his career. In 1989, he began his own practice, The Law Office of Joe T. Millsaps, and was the sole attorney in the firm until 2005 when he was joined by Ashley Bratton.
Mr. Millsaps was admitted to practice in North Carolina in 1961, the U.S. District Court in 1967, the U.S. Court of Appeals in 1977 and the U.S. Supreme Court in 1994. His primary practice areas are Estate Planning, Wills and Trusts, Probate and Estate Administration and comprehensive service to small corporations.
Ashley Elizabeth Bratton

After graduating from Loyola University–New Orleans, Ashley Bratton, J.D. was admitted to practice in North Carolina in 2005. A member of the Mecklenburg County and North Carolina Bar Associations, Ashley began practicing as an associate at the Law Office of Joe T. Millsaps.
In July of 2011, Bratton partnered with Millsaps to establish Millsaps & Bratton, PLLC and to acquire the existing real estate practice of Huffman Law, LLP.
Her primary practice areas are Residential Real Estate, Commercial Real Estate, Small Business Law and Real Property disputes.
